 Centre-Break

(CBD)

The centre-break disconnector consists of two arms which, by moving in a coordinated way on a plane which is perpendicular to that of the insulators supporting them, close the circuit at a point which is located approximately mid-way.

Pantograph

 (VR2D)

The pantograph disconnector consists of two articulated half-arms which, by moving in a coordinated way and “vertically” on the plane of the insulators, close the circuit on a fixed contact connected the upper busbar.

V-type Centre-break

(CBVD)

The V-type centre-break disconnector consists of two arms which, by moving in a coordinated way, each of them on a perpendicular plane to that of the respective supporting insulator, close the circuit at a point which is located approximately mid-way.

Motor Operating Mechanisms

(CD)

They allow  for both local and remote motor operation of any COELME-EGIC disconnector. Main models:

  • CD101.

  • CD201 and CD211.

  • CD212.

Railway Load Switcher

(LBS)

It is a switch-disconnector combining the features of the SHD vertical-break disconnector with those of its vacuum interrupting chamber.

The interrupting chamber is operated by the arm of the disconnector, which prevents the risk of performing erroneuous operation sequences.

  • Nominal voltage: 25kV.

  • Rated continuous current: up to 2000 A.

  • Rated short-circuit breaking current: up to 25 kA.

Double-Break

(TCB & STC)

This disconnector consists of one arm which is moved by the central insulator supporting it and closes the circuit on two fixed  contacts, each of them placed on one of the two side insulators.

Semi-pantograph

(SSP)

The semi-pantograph disconnector consists of one articulated arm which, by moving “vertically” on the plane of the insulators, closes the circuit on a fixed contact connected to the upper busbar.

Hookstick Operated  (SLOC/D)

This  disconnector is the smallest, the most compact and the cheapest of the disconnector within COELME-EGIC range; it is a vertical-break disconnector equipped with an eye placed at the ends of the arm, which allows for pole-by-pole manual operation by means of a hookstick.

Manual Operating Mechanisms

(CM)

They allow for manual operation of an COELME-EGIC disconnector and, upon request, they can also be easily adapted to equipment from other manufacturers. Main models:

  • CM102 and CM113, for the operation of disconnectors without earthing blades.

  • CM202 and CM213, for the operation of disconnectors provided with earthing blades.

Railway Switcher

(VSV)

It is a switcher specifically designed to meet the needs of railway electrification, for applications both in overhead lines (at catenary level) and in feeder substations.

It is provided with vacuum interrupting chamber operated by an electromagneticactuator.

  • Nominal voltage: 25kV.

  • Rated continuous current: up to 2500 A.

  • Rated short-circuit breaking current: up to 25 kA.

 Vertical-Break

(SHD & SLOB)

The vertical-break disconnector consists of one arm which, by moving on the plane of the insulators supporting it, closes the circuit on a fixed contact located on the side insulator.

Knee-type

(OH)

The knee-type disconnector consists of one articulated arm which, by moving “horizontally” on the plane of the insulators, closes the circuit on a fixed contact located on the side insulator.

Earthing Switches

(ES)

Earthing switches complete the range of disconnectors and can be a "stand-alone" appliance and can be integrated into a disconnector of any type with one, two or - in particular cases - up to three ground blades per pole.

Equipment

HVDC

HVDC equipment comprises both disconnectors and earthing switches to be installed on HVDC plants.
